woohoo i'm finally back from orientation camp! watablast. it was very fun, and on hindsight, quite a success. screw the fact WATER GAMES became a free for all, which i think, was what will happen anyway regardless of what was planned. got quite a few people wet, yet escaped rather dry except for the shoes. screw it that the sec1s are still very childish and selfish and don't know UNITE. its ok, we sec4s were too, and i didn't really know unite until like last year. got to know new people, and old people better. like during war games, when everybody was running everywhere, junyong and i were talking cock on the field in the corner, except that there were no stars and the odd sec1 passed by, doing his forfeit for HAPPYHAPPYLAND, which come to think of it is a bloody sadistic and evil name for a place to do forfeits.

and fright night wasn't as scary as i thought it would be. they went in 5s, instead of the suggested 2s, as mm thought it was too scary. they were allowed torchtights, which just spoils the fun. and there were too many psls jumping out and screaming left right centre, which spoils the suspense. and making them watch incredible tales before they start the route is a good idea, just that giving a choice on whether they want to or not isn't. but nevertheless, we still had 2 casualties, both from fright. one apparently suffered an anxiety attack, and was vomiting non-stop, and was sent home. some of the sec1s were also homesick, too lonely in camp, ended up falling ill and going home.

my brother is in saint pat's. today he told me.
"Patricians hate RI boys, because RI boys are arrogant. Do RI boys hate Patricians?"
I replied
"No we do not hate Patricians. But that's because you all are not good enough and too insignificant to deserve us hating you. We just ignore your school completely."
haha arrogance with a captial A.
"wah insult lah. so who do you all hate? hwa chong?"
"no, we don't really hate them, we just think they are a bunch of communist gay fags, thats all."
"sji leh?"
"actually not really also. cause sji is just a poorer and less screwed-up version of acsi. if there's one school we hate, its them."

sometimes i wonder why my school is so hated/detested. and somebody sent this to me in an sms. I quote,
"And hey, pple don't hate ri pple cos they're fast. Its more of their character. Don't ask me what abt their character."

ok fine, don't ask you, i'll ask myself. so what exactly about their, i mean our, but essentially really MY character that ppl hate? I tend to think of myself as a friendly and likable (at least not detestable, i don't see how anyone who knows me would find me, in the words of andrew tam, slappable) person. Maybe i'm a little arrogant, but most of the time i sound arrogant is because i have to purposely in my full consciousness insert the arrogant bit, probably to piss you off as a result of perhaps offending me. in fact i don't think i'm arrogant my nature (haha dramatic irony). arrogant would probably be one of the last words i would use to describe myself alongside mugger and wierd and 井底之蛙, just exactly the most popular and common words used to describe ri boys.

i guess my only real weakness as a person i really my character, but then again i don't really know what about my character that really needs tweaking, as in like urgently. sure, there are ones like being charitable, selfless, empathatic, but then again, the number of ppl my age who can display such attributes is probably lesser than the the number of trophies i've won, and this number doesn't reflect the number of friendly and lovable people, does it?
