BISHAN- 3K defender Sean Lim has retired from football at the premature age of 15 due to knee injuries. Seen, as he's fondly known as, made the decision after scoring 2 goals and missing 4 others in his testimonial match, playing for Seen's friends against a Sec 2-select side + Daniel Ng.

"I would like to thank Head Gay TSZ, the CEC and the prefects and most of the class." Seen told the 3K egroup.

He added,"They have been fantastic and were a real inspiration to me when I was out injured."

The player's soft toy Mooty s/o Gopalkrishnan said: "He would have liked to stay on and was hoping for a 100% recovery.

"But something has happened with his knee which made it impossible for him to continue."

However, Seen will still be involved in the 4K football setup, moving upwards with his self-appointment as 4K manager, beating the likes of Jarrel Ng to the post.

When asked of his latest assignment, Seen joked," I'm not suprised that I've been appointed, seeing how I'm a Man Utd fan instead of a Chelsea one." in a not so subtle reference to his job contenders.

Seen, in a more serious manner, later added," Frankly though, I must say I'm very excited and pleased to have been given this challenge. It is a great honour to be given the chance to lead 4K to victory."

One of the few issues that will be facing Seen first is the immediate future of fringe players like Thia Shan Zhi, Spencer Thang and Ng Benjamin. "First I'll ask them to do 10 push-ups. And then we will see," commented Seen.

Rookie manager Seen certainly faces an uphill task, having to first revitalise a 4K team still bruising from its goalless showing at this year's interclass, which included a humiliating 3-0 defeat at the hands of a Quang-inspired 3Q. Seen also has an unwanted record of his teams not scoring at interclass at all, be it as a player or manager, a record which he will surely need to do away with - Playboy

haha funny right. i was thinking of writing this when i was in the shower, and i prompty did so when i came out. cause the pain when i was playing soccer today is quite 猛. i really don't know whether i should continue playing soccer when i feel pain and my movements are restricted. i will have to train, but soccer is different. i'm not really retiring so to speak, but maybe i should take a break for god knows how long. the pain has been there for a week already, even when i walk. i was just toying with the idea of being manager. its quite different from being captain, as your view of the everything is more objective and you are better able to pay attention to what is going on. it might be a secret weapon to winning interclass, having a manager, one who makes decisions yet isn't playing.
