it is common for someone to hear exclamations of how ri life is so packed, busy and sian. but then how the hell do they still have time for a girlfriend? ri being a boy's school, we are absolutely deprieved of the pressence of girls if our social circle is strictly confined to the school, yet how do ri boys still get girlfriends when they have never been in the same class with a girl their whole life, let alone their widening their social circle? how would they know how to interact?

i was just pondering this issue on my way home on the mrt, staring blankly into space and unable to sleep. i know of attached people in my class, which i think numbers to a miserable 3 at least, one of which is a prefect and has been in a boys' school all his life, at least from primary school onwards. but you know what's one thing in common? all their girlfriends are in the same church with them. so despo people, *hint *hint.

i also dun understand how do people get girlfriends so easily then break up just as easily if not easier. u see people out there despite only being 15 have about 10 girlfriends to date and counting. why do they change girlfriends like nobody's business? dun they feel anything? does that mean that when they went into the relationship it was only for fun, to test the waters out, then decide later whether they could click or not?

i always believed that when one goes into a relationship, one must know the person very well, is confident the relationship would work, that it could have a long-term future and put a lot of thought into it. i know that i won't be able to take the blow of a break-up, thus i believe much thought is needed to put into the feasibilty of the relationship. i won't go into a relationship just to test the waters, that would be like a blind date.

the process should be like researching on a possible investment. no one just stakes all his money on an investment that one noes little of. if one does so, it would be like 4D, just buying blindly and then hoping one would just be lucky for once. no one does that when the stakes are so high. which partly explains why i still have no girlfriend to date. i consider the options very carefully, and i won't go into them if i'm the least not confident of it working. i'm still considering but i'm very doubtful as to what might happen. i won't go into something that puts myself at risk of getting hurt.

that was just part of it. another explanation to my lack of a girlfriend can be put to the reason that i do not understand them well enough. i dunno what to say, how to behave, etc. not that i lack enough interaction time with them, having been in a mixed primary school. i believe i'm just shy. i feel akward around girls. in the words of someone else, he said that i'm a nice person to be friends with, but probably not a boyfriend. how right.

i think what i have written sounds very emo and depressing. but i assure u my dear readers i'm neither in depression or entertaning suicidal thoughts. these are just my take on the issue. i'm just going through a period in life called adolescene. its quite confusing, but i'm sure i will come out of it all right, being the ever overconfident and arrogant bastatrd that i am xP
