i haven't blogged in a week. have been quite busy the previous week.

on tuesday my re group had to go down to our home in buangkok and carry out our dinner time activities for them. timothy cldn't make it as he was in malaysia so only jingxian clarence joelseah n i made it, along with jingxian's fren who played the guitar. the home was one for middle-aged male destitutes and is quite new. it went okay and the reward scheme went well. u see, we award prizes like coffee powder and pouches for participating in our activites and they respond to it very well. but some of them got bored as the programme went on and left halfway. from a full hall to a half full hall.

on friday to saturday i had mustard seed camp in church. i was supposed to plan for sessions but i didn't really do anything due to communication breakdown and the unfamiliarity of emo sessions. i personally dun like those emo sessions which makes you seek out your weaknesses and make u cry. why would i plan something which i do not like? unfortunately that was the plan for the camp and i just had to go along with it whether i like it or not. all that i proposed were supposedly not in line with the theme of the camp so i just have to accept the ideas that the other 2 came up with.

the turnout for the camp was quite small, as there are about 6 people preparing for O's and a lot of people working so it was quite sad. the first session was freaking emo. everyone took turns to say their major problem in life, then proceded to 1) cry, 2) get hugged, 3) offered a tissue and 4) water. freaking hell, i was like what the shit, im sure everyone take turns to cry.

okay thats cynical. in actual fact, i can completely understand why they cried. they were mostly parental problems, the most common being how their dads are not understanding, dun trust them, abusive, hate them, etc. compared to that, my problem seems non-existant, so when it came to my turn i didn't really noe what to say. therefore, i didn't cry.

but 1 takeaway is that from this camp, i have learnt to appreciate my parents and family more. my family is wholesome, meaning isn't broken. my dad isn't abusive and untrusting and ununderstanding. my mum is not very strict with me. my brother may be lazy and irritating but he will grow out of it in a few years. i have a very loving familiy compared to others. what more can i ask for?

and yesterday, i had 800m at gombak stadium. i did 2.20, ornan 2.17 and mchia 2.15. ornan and i did acceptable times but i think mchia feels like shit now. slim told him to go at 64sec for the first 400m but he followed the pack and went at 62secs. next round he gg and did 73sec. mchia was leading the pack, with ornan close behind, with me about 10m behind the pack, which explains my perfect first round time of 66secs. all was going according to plan, but my next 200m was a 38 sec which freaking pulled the whole thing down. my goal was to sub 2.20. to fall short is disappointing but to fall just short is encouraging. after a few more weeks i should be ready to run faster for nats.

after that i went to clarence's house for thomas' birthday celebration. isn't it wierd, u hold ur birthday party at someone else's house 0_o. at about 9+ we watched some mtv show about how celebrities named their children and they had some comedians to give commentary. some names include kyd, tu morrow, magnus, god is love stone, saffron sahara, puma. quotes included " saffron sahara is a really nice name ... ... for a curry dish." " you only call a kid kid if you dun noe his name, and since you already noe the kid's name, why are you calling him kid? and kyd has a y. why?""you really have to be a really confident person to tell others "i am tu morrow" "what if magnus is short? " hi magnus, you are short"" " imagine when they go out on dates, and your girlfriend's named puma. you ask her " puma, so what we do now?" and she replies in a menancing tone " stay here and eat fresh meat" " lol.
