oh gosh i haven't blogged in a week. not because i'm too busy too, rather i couldn't be bothered. see, procrastination.

DMP ENDS TODAY!!! finally. lol. actually for me it ended yesterday, i spent the whole of today studying chem at home. oh, researching on how to commit tactical fouls and having a go on the ps2 as and when i feel inspired to play a bit of we11. i'm obsessed with playmakers and holland. i don't know why, everytime i play, i will play 3 matches, and it will always be one with a riquelme-led team (villareal and argentina), one with a zidane-led team (france) and one with classic holland (cruyff, gullit, neeskens, krol, koeman etc.)

classic holland is damn imba, their teamwork is freaking gay. and they really play total football, even in we11. sometimes i start moves at the back, with the keeper passing to ruud krol, the sweeper, who passes it on. after about 10 passes around in midfield, the ball ends up back with ruud krol at the other end of the field, in a goalscoring position, having took the time i took to pass the ball around to travel to the other end of the field at his whim and fancy. he shot, keeper saved, punted the ball to the other end, my penalty area, only to have it cleared by...johan cruyff, who plays left foward ... total football

classic holland tactically dun play with a classic centre foward, in the mold of van nistelrooy, klinsmann, inzaghi, shearer, etc. they play 4-3-3, yes, the midfield trio is a def mid and a centre midfield and a attacking midfield who is in a centralised position. their forward 3 is a right attacking midfielder (NOT a winger), a left attacking midfielder (more centre than left, cause...) and a left foward, who is their most advanced player. modern formations have a striker as the most advanced player, but they have a left foward as the most advanced player. this works very well, because the whole team structure is so tight, they overwhelm the midfield and it is so freaking easy to pass the ball around short and slow and sweetly cause when someone gets the ball, there are so many options around him to pass to. of course, if u r sienzzz of passing around, just give the ball to cruyff in the left foward role and let him run. cause his control and acceleration is damn sick. today he scored in front of goal with a backflick.

of course, this formation means there is no place for marco van basten, cause van basten's position is dat of centre forward, and there is no centre foward in the classic holland formation. so unversatile, unlike johan cruyff, who can play... anywhere. yes i kid you not, EVERYWHERE. well, except goalkeeper, cause maybe they fear he will run up himself and score. ruud gullit can also play almost everywhere. basically, classic holland owns. a pity i cant add dennis bergkamp to the team. you dun seem to be able to add ppl into the classic teams, or alan shearer will be in the classic england team.

hahah man utd lost. wth is ferguson thinking? in the words of shanzhi,"fergie, we are NOT arsenal". this really shows you the difference in class. arsenal play newcastle, a highflying premier league side, played a team with the average age of 20 and won. man utd, played coventry, a not-so-flying coca cola championship team, played a team with the average age of 24, and lost. pathetic. ferguson claims he's flabbergasted, and rightly so. last year got owned by southend united, this year coventry, next year who? weston-super-mare? or grimsby?

i have 7 eoys to take i think: english, hcl, maths, physics, chem, lit, hist and ss. and i need to study for all except hist and english. meaning i have a hell lot to do. but i'm not one to panic. not yet anyway. wait till the a's.
