i have an idea. instead of blogging in chronological order, let's blog in reverse chronological order. okayyyyyyzzz.

training today was damn ownage. for a start i was late. then when i reached clementi it rained like mad. as i got closer to macritchie, the rain got lighter and lighter. by the time i alighted there was no rain. but just as i was walking to the gathering point, it started raining like mad. n i got half drenched in my dry clothes. so we just wait in the toilet, but in the end we just went out and run in the rain. by the end of everything i was completely soaked from my hair to my shoes. my legs were full of dirt and sand and whatnot, having just charged through the puddles of whatnot like a madman. quite fun though.

our first match on thursday was against 3F. we screwed up. i screwed up. i was a freaking bundle of nerves before the match and very tense. by the time i got on the pitch i just felt like leaving the match and sleeping. then i just drifted around the pitch aimlessly, not being exactly sure what i was doing, where i was and why i was there. thankfully for koonz and his sliding tackles. or we confirm ggxxed. later ppl were telling me theo was shouting like a lunatic for me to go back but i didn't. oh wells.

it ended up the match was too short. apparently, faizal gave us 7mins for the whole match instead of 7mins per half. so we replayed it on friday reccess. quite a lot of people were watching us play.i daresay 3/4 of the available standing room was taken up. most of my class was watching and supporting, with the obvious absentees like spencer (commitments to stomach), ryan (commitments to spencer) and beng (commitments to cca). we definitely played much better in the replay. to the extent that theodore didn't touch the ball in play throughout the whole match. 3F had a few shots, which went wide or over. meaning theo would play ball boy, retrieve the ball, for me to take goal kicks.

we on the other hand, had about 7 clear chances to 10 overall chances, most of which went over the bar. terrible finishing, especially some chances where it would be easier to score than to miss. but it wasn't really due to our foward play. it was an improvement, but still rather disjointed. apparently kieran was invisible throughout the match, but it attribute that to lousy play throughout the team. also, everyone thought koonz and i were solid throughout the match but we are both in humble agreement that we just did a few tackles and interceptions respectively here and there, nothing much, so undeserving of such high praise. lol.

on thursday we also saw 3Q play. i finally got to watch Quang the Vietnamnese Rocket play. he's very good, about the same level of skill as balu, maybe better. he dribbles like Kerlon, bouncing the ball on his head and thighs. he shoots like a rocket, powerful and accurate. hisfirst goal is some gay shit. from the right wing, he lashed a shot so powerful straight at the keeper that all the keeper could do was deflect it into the goal. it happened so fast, no one could see whether it went in or not, even the people behind the goal. so they spent the next 20secs arguing. lol.

but 3M never really tested 3Q's defence, which i believe is not very strong. we need to put their defence under constant pressure from the start to win. their imba attack overshadows the weak defence, so if my defensive arrangement works, we can win.
